During the cold season, there are often strong storm surges that flood the pump station up to five meters.

No matter how strong the storm surge gets, the DORANT pump station remains in a safe place in the ground. The cantilever of the strong base plate of the shaft system acts as a re-support, as well as the dead weight of the reinforced concrete as a counteracting force.

Due to the completely watertight PE interior and the pressurized water-tight cover, the system remains unaffected by external influences and is always operational.
